Closely following the announcement that a new beta testing would kicking off this summer, news originating from behind the scenes has turned public knowledge due to the great investigative efforts done by the fans. As early as May of last year, the long debated problem regarding the use of the Trademark and Copyright among the many fans of Darkfall had been settled immediately after the delivery of the Notice of Allowance to Aventurine by the USPTO. Along with the announcement of a summer beta version release, this news also gave the Darkfall fans a little bit of hope to look at the new game with an optimistic mind. Nevertheless, one piece of the quiz had yet to be solved as soon as possible. To release the game, a voluntary publisher is inevitable. But at present whether or not Aventurine would publish the game by itself in the long term is still unknown the all the members of the Darkfall community, and maybe unknown to Aventurine itself either.
