Collin Brennan from Massively continues his love-hate relationship with Darkfall by taking part in player versus player action and raiding in his feature "The Daze of Darkfall".
"After things had calmed down and I had been freed from the corpse pile, however, we were attacked three more times. Out of those three times we had won twice -- succeeding in driving the offenders off or killing them all. We were obviously getting better at this stuff, and it provided an interesting experience for someone like myself."
Darkfall isn't for everyone, but especially not for reviewers: Sean Bulger reviews Darkfall for MMORPG.com and finds it worthy of a 6
"Reviewing Darkfall is not easy. I\ll be completely honest: at one time, I fit this target demographic and would have loved every concept put forward by this game - and still do like the sound of it quite a bit. However, time (and necessity) can change taste and Darkfall is an unforgiving game that requires a lot of dedicated time if you expect to do anything."
Finally Jeff Hargrove from MMORPG.com reviews Darkfall's first expansion
“Darkfall Online's first expansion is filled with great improvements to the game, and creative strategies for used to enhance game play. Darkfall Online has come a long way in the past four months. It actually looks, feels, and plays more like a professional MMO. Most importantly Darkfall Online really delivered a stunning expansion after just four months launch.”
