It was obvious that the lack of experience in the release of a Q1 version had two ways to choose from, either confronting the utter yet unrefined objection, or accepting a serious overhaul on the development to turn itself into the true next-generation MMO that has a promising tomorrow.
Razorwax has reached a deal with a publisher in Greece, which was later known as Aventurine, as early as December, 2002. Shortly after that, and by the close of February 2003, Razorwax had broken off any ties with Intermedia Invest and became independent and sought to find another location in Greece. Trond Heier said something on the exchange and expressed his good wishes for Razorwax as the hard work its staff had made. Also in a talk with VG he mentioned the 3m kronor loss he accumulated from the investment, hinting slightly at his disappointment.
Now it seems that Trond Heier’s financial connections with Darkfall have come to the end. Though from the very beginning they had already been uneasy of all these events, the 60 million kronor investment in Intermedia Invest seemed worth the payment, at least for all the fans of Darkfall Online.
