As far as most armor magic resistance has improved a little. By doing that, warriors are able to fight against concentrated area of effect spells.
The crafting costs for most craftable items are going down significantly especially in gold costs. It is much cheaper to produce higher rank equipment, and then the market for the Darkfall crafters will be enlarger. Due to new influx of gold into the economy system, being a crafter in Darkfall is expected to more profitable than ever before.
